ADRIANA MIRANDA

Adriana Miranda is a Chicago-based artist whose vibrant, textured paintings are both playful and thought-provoking. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Adriana’s artistic journey began at just five years old, and her work has since evolved into a bold exploration of nostalgia, memory, and transformation. Rooted in her experiences as a mother of two, she often draws inspiration from her own childhood and her children's milestones, using art as a bridge to reflect on personal memories and the complexities of growing up.

Adriana’s work is heavily influenced by her fascination with pop culture and her playful, satirical approach to titles and themes. Inspired by icons from Steve of Blue's Clues to street art pioneers like David Choe, she adds a fresh layer of whimsy and familiarity to her art. Her style is distinct for its exaggerated features, joyful color palettes, and blend of Eastern and Western perspectives, an approach influenced by her studies in East Asian languages and culture.

With over six years of dedication to her craft, Adriana’s career is marked by numerous exhibitions, awards, and a growing base of loyal collectors. Her recent collection, Dreaming with Eyes Open, exemplifies her commitment to creating art that resonates on both an emotional and visual level. For Adriana, painting is not only a practice but a deeply personal journey—one that encourages viewers to reconnect with their own stories and childhood wonder.

Looking ahead, Adriana aspires to exhibit her work internationally, particularly in Japan, blending her passion for art and the world beyond her home. Through her work, she seeks to inspire and connect, pushing artistic boundaries and embracing new forms of storytelling that celebrate both the lighthearted and reflective moments of life.
